It contains 13 years of documenting the monuments of heavy industry with the aim of original capturing the unique industrial architecture and its peculiar landscape on a classic film.

Since 2010, I have been systematically and tirelessly recording the famous POLDI smelter, Koněv smelter, coke plants, coal mines, power plants, mysterious places and unseen landscapes using large-format analog cameras. All this only within one city. Kladno, rich in its industrial history. Industrial ruins of all kinds met, in addition to their fate in the form of irreversible disappearance, also a plastic record of the reflection of light at the moment of its impact on the ground. Fortunately, he was caught at the last second by something as unpredictable as a Kodak blast. For 13 years, I painstakingly thought about and photographed footage of the disappearing barracks. He kept visiting them in the heat and in the cold, looking for them out there immersed in inspiration. He aimed them at different angles and planes. He meditated. Very often, chance played its game and created perfect shots. Finally, the mystical began to materialize. This is how the Lost Barracks began... Transparent layers of burnt silver on a flexible backing film as big as a book page. At the same time, a legacy to future generations, who may not suffer so much from something mystical. A varied palette of approaches, all possible films and photographic techniques, carefully compiled geographically into seven chapters. 274 photographs supplement essays by Jan Unger, Tomáš Pospěch and Jakub Potůček. Czech-English edition.
